Two weeks ago Your Mama discussed a gated Studio City, CA estate owned by songwriter/music publishing poo-bah (and former American Idol judge) Kara DioGuardi and available for lease with a fat price tag of $45,000 per month.
Late last week the 3.5 acre hilltop spread, which Miz DioGuardi shares with her artist/contractor husband Mike McCuddy popped up for sale with an also sky-high asking price of $10,000,000. Miz DioGuardi told the Wall Street Journal she and the mister want to sell so they can spend more time on the east coast where they own a home or two in coastal Maine.
Miz DioGuardi also continues to possess and maintain a much more modest Spanish style house in the Beachwood Canyon area of Los Angeles that she unsuccessfully tried to sell in early 2010 when she hoisted it on the market with an asking price of $1,649,000.
The Studio City residence–originally built in 1923 and completely renovated and expanded from 2007-2010–sits at the end of a long curved driveway, measures around 7,600 square feet and contains a total of 5 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.
Just as Miz DioGuardi's estate was (and remains) the most expensive rental property available in Studio City, it is now the highest priced property on the sales market in Studio City.
